1. Everyday Life with a Lamia
Kimihito wakes up to find Miia crushing him in her sleep. After escaping, he draws a bath for her to warm up and goes to make breakfast. In the kitchen he is surprised by Smith, who has come to make sure he isn't engaging in any prohibited activities with Miia, such as sex. After Smith leaves, Miia tries to seduce him, only to accidentally dislocate his shoulder. The two go on a field trip, including a visit to an all-species lingerie shop. Afterwards, they run into a racist couple who harass Miia, and Kimihito has to jump in the way when she tries to strike them with her tail, to keep her from breaking the law. Trying to escape from a curious crowd, they hide in a love hotel, where they are ambushed by the Interspecies Exchange Security Squad. However, Smith recognizes them and fixes the situation. Leaving the hotel, they encounter the couple, and when they begin harassing Miia again Kimihito punches them. At home, Miia resumes her advances on Kimihito, only for them to be interrupted by Smith. || Kurusu Kimihito has found himself host to a beautiful lamia named Miia under the Cultural Exchange Between Species Act. She has taken quite a liking to him, despite the prohibition against interspecies breeding in the law. Life with her is rough in more ways than one, as she many times inadvertently strangles or knocks him about, and she constantly tries to seduce him, which would be prohibited by law. There is still a lot of prejudice against monsters in the human population. One day, as they go out into town, a pair of bigots insults Kimihito for his hosting a monster like Miia, which angers her, and she tries to attack them, but is stopped by Kimihito, who receives the blow instead. This attracts the attention of a crowd, and so the two are chased into a love hotel, where they are stopped from having a sexual liaison by Ms. Smith, the government official overseeing them. As they leave they see the same pair of bigots again, who this time insult Miia, which leads Kimihito to punch them.

2. Everyday Life with a Harpy and Centaur
Kimihito is kidnapped by Papi, who brings him to a park, where they buy ice cream. Papi then takes a bath in a public fountain, where Miia finds them. With various mishaps, the three work together to save a girl who was stuck in a tree. When a policeman arrives, Kimihito claims to be Papi's host family to keep her from being deported. The officer is skeptical, but Smith arrives with Papi's papers just in time, and tells Kimihito that she was on her way to make the harpy live with him. While out grocery shopping, Kimihito collides with Centorea. She becomes convinced that Kimihito is her soulmate. Encountering a purse-snatcher, the two pursue him. They eventually catch him, despite various embarrassing accidents. When the thief tries to attack Centorea with her dropped sword, Kimihito leaps in front of her and takes the blow, but survives due to the sword being a fake. Later, Smith explains that Kimihito riding Centorea could be viewed as akin to rape, since only a centaur's chosen master may ride them. Centorea chooses him as her master, resulting in her joining his household. || Kimihito`s troubles are just beginning as he is abducted from his backyard by a harpy, who drops him into a tree in a public park. The harpy, named Papi, had already escaped from two previous host families and is on the point of being deported, but she is such a literal bird-brain that she doesn`t seem to understand what this means. Miia finds them and takes exception to Papi`s attentions to her "darling" Kimihito, but in the meantime a child has gotten stuck in a tree and Papi helps save her. A policeman comes by in response to the incident, though it has been resolved, and asks for Papi`s papers after Kimihito claims to be her host. Ms. Smith comes by with these papers, explaining that she actually planned to send Papi to Kimihito after she ran away from her previous host families.
A few days later as Papi is getting settled in his home, Kimihito goes for groceries early in the morning, when he sees a centaur named Centorea. A snatcher is abroad in the neighbourhood, and they watch as the thief steals a woman`s purse, making his getaway on a scooter. Centorea, outraged, chases after the thief, dragging Kimihito along for the ride, as it is illegal for monsters like her to harm humans. They eventually catch the thief, and Centorea is so impressed by Kimihito that she declares him her "master".

3. Everyday Life Under Dangerous Circumstances
When Papi tries to seduce Kimihito during their bath, Centorea rescues him and they flee to the park where they share a tender moment. They are soon followed and interrupted by Miia and Papi, and the three begin fighting for Kimihito's affection. Smith arrives with a tranquilizer gun to stop them, but accidentally shoots Kimihito instead. When he wakes up at home, the three are apologetic for the harm they have caused him, but he dismisses their worries. Smith then announces that there has been a change to the Interspecies Exchange Bill, and she wants him to marry one of the girls as a test case. That night, Miia arrives in his room and tries to seduce him, only to be interrupted by Papi, who crashes through the window. Centorea arrives and explains that the full moon is to blame their abnormal behavior; however, it soon becomes clear that she is also affected. || Kimihito finds that the three monster girls have difficulty getting along, and he is in the middle. At one point the fighting between them gets so out of hand that Ms. Smith has to intervene, but she winds up shooting Kimihito with the tranquilliser darts instead. The girls are chastened by the incident and promise to behave themselves, while Kimihito declares that they are supposed to be like family. After receiving Centorea`s application forms Smith offhandedly mentions that there are some amendments to the law that are coming that will legalise inter-species marriage, but forgets to mention that it is a night of a full moon. That night the full moon combined with all the talk of marriage makes all the three girls crazy, and Kimihito has to flee from them and it is only when he falls onto a bottle of ketchup making them all think he was killed that they sober up. The next morning, Kimihito, sporting bandages from the rough night, says that it is his fault for being indecisive, and promises to date all three of them with an eye to marriage.

4. Everyday Life with a Slime
Miia opens the pot on the stove and is attacked by a slime. Centorea explains that slimes are one of many species as yet unrecognized by human society; the slime then attacks again, and when Centorea's sword has no effect, both her and Kimihito end up covered in slime. When he goes to take a bath, she joins him after being unable to get clean. She conjectures that the slime was attacking them to get water; it then attacks them again in the bath. When Centorea falls and is knocked unconscious, the slime takes the form of a woman and begins imitating his washing of Cerea; due to her body being liquid, however, she almost drowns him before he escapes by diluting her in the tub. They debate what to do with her, and Papi reveals that she has named her Suu. The girls point out that she is likely an illegal immigrant; Papi overhears this and flees with Suu, thinking they mean to turn her in. When Kimihito catches up with them, they are apprehended by a group of children who often play with Papi. When one of the children is almost hit by a truck driven by the racist couple from the first episode, Suu saves her but falls off a bridge. Luckily, Kimihito gets under her with the crashed truck before she falls in the water. After that, he decides to let her stay at his house. They go home, only to find Smith there. || A slime monster has invaded the house, and leaves everyone frantic after she nearly suffocates Miia and slimes Centorea and Kimihito. The two of them are in the bath trying to get themselves clean when the slime appears again, and Kimihito notices how she seems to be mimicking everyone`s actions. After some further mishaps Papi befriends her, giving her the name Suu. Miia and Centorea consider that she is quite possibly an illegal, and as such they ought to report her to Ms. Smith as soon as possible to avoid trouble. This worries Papi who suddenly flies off with her, and Kimihito chases after them. They play with a bunch of neighborhood kids who are friends with Papi, and Suu saves a little girl from getting hit by a truck. They arrive home to find that Ms. Smith is there.

5. Everyday Life with a Mermaid
A construction crew from the Interspecies Exchange Security Squad arrives while the girls are making a plan to hide Suu from Smith. The girls leave with Suu until the construction is over, only to realize that they have left Kimihito behind. They are forced to hide when pursued by security forces. All three of the girls somehow get wet, causing them to be assaulted by a dehydrated Suu. Meanwhile, Kimihito is searching for them. He is hit by a girl in a runaway wheelchair, who introduces herself as Mero. When they arrive at the park, Mero is almost assaulted by Suu, but Kimihito catches her in a plastic bag. Arriving home, they thank Smith for building a room for Suu; she reveals, however, that the room is not for Suu, but for Mero, who is revealed to be a mermaid. Miia becomes jealous when her accidentally breaking Mero's wheelchair results in Kimihito having to carry the mermaid around the house. She attempts to enlist Centorea and Papi's help in foiling the mermaid. When Kimihito knocks Mero into the pool to save her from a once-again dehydrated Suu, Miia thinks he is making a romantic advance and dives in after them, almost drowning when the cold water makes her sluggish. Later, as Miia and Mero take a bath together, the mermaid reveals that she has no intention of attempting to woo Kimihito away from Miia; all mermaids want to experience a tragic love similar to "The Little Mermaid". Centorea and Papi overhear this and believe that the two are plotting against them. || Worried that the authorities will take Suu away, Miia, Centorea, and Papi take her outside and hide from them, but Kimihito did not follow them. Suu, dried out from being outside proceeds to molest the other three girls in an attempt to gain moisture. The government people who come by however don`t seem out to arrest someone, but seem to be construction people who make more alterations to the house. Kimihito goes out to find the girls and gets hit by a girl on a wheelchair heading down the slope named Mero, who saw where they had gone.
Mero, who turns out to be a mermaid, is yet another monster girl put under Kimihito`s care, and the construction work at the house, which added a deep pool, was for her benefit. Smith tells them that with so much work to do she can`t really be bothered to worry about Suu. The girls have varied reactions to their new housemate, with Papi nonplussed and Centorea impressed by her regal bearing, but Miia is jealous and behaves churlishly. Later, Miia dives into the new pool after Mero and Kimihito, nearly drowning, but after she is rescued she apologises for her rudeness and Mero explains how she has no plans to marry Kimihito but rather wishes for a tragic romance like the Little Mermaid`s.

6. Everyday Life with Shedding and Egg Laying
Miia trains to become Kimihito's bride by throwing herself into cooking. However, she seems absent minded and burns both of her hands. She is out of sorts because she is shedding. She cries that she is useless and can't even shed by herself, but Kimihito cheers her up and offers to help her shed. || Miia is attempting to learn how to cook, and picks up a boiling pot with her bare hands and gets severely burned. This comes at the worst possible time, as soon after she begins shedding her skin, which she can`t peel off with her burned hands, and can`t leave as is since she could get an infection that way, so Kimihito has to help her. This proves to be a highly embarrassing operation as he has to touch her in her most intimate places.
Later, Papi says she is about to lay an egg, which has not been fertilised, much to the relief of the other girls. A dubious "film director" named Kasegi appears, claiming to be making a documentary on the interspecies exchange programme. He asks the girls rather embarrassing questions and tries to take titillating shots of them, and they are all suspicious, but Papi is about to lay her egg. Suu exhibits a sort of telepathic ability and exposes Kasegi`s true intentions, which include stealing Papi`s egg, which can be sold for millions. Kimihito is incensed and punches him in the face with one of the eggs from the refrigerator. Papi lays her egg, and later Miia winds up cooking it.
Kasegi is also host to another monster, a an arachne named Rachnera, and he gripes to her about his misadventure. This intrigues her, and she wraps her erstwhile host in spider silk and goes out to seek Kimihito.

7. Everyday Life with MON and an Arachne
A standoff involving a high school girl held hostage takes place at a doujin shop. The Orc Pioneer Federation demands that "orc x female knight" adult comics be made mainstream. Smith's "MON" arrives at the scene. They are a special squad assembled to handle crimes committed by non-human species! || A group of orc terrorists has taken over an anime shop and is holding the patrons and staff hostage. The police are prevented by law from harming non-humans, so a special squad of elite monsters known as MON is dispatched to deal with them. The four of them, Zombina, Doppel, Manako, and Tionishia, use a combination of deception and brute force to subdue the monster terrorists.
MON are later dispatched to Kasegi`s house as he managed to make an emergency call before Rachnera wrapped him completely. She manages to escape, and abducts Kimihito at the door to his house. She brings him to a warehouse where she torments him, certain that he will affirm her misanthropic outlook as she had been mistreated by many humans before, but this does not faze him, and he even finds her spider form sexually alluring. A security guard at the warehouse sees them and MON is dispatched there, but Rachnera surrenders peacefully, and Smith assigns Kimihito to be her new host, as it seems he might be able to get along with her properly.

8. Everyday Life in Poor Health
Rachnera settles in as a member of the Kurusu household; however, Miia and Cerea, who don't trust her, are not so enthusiastic about this. Cerea begins to stick very close to Kimihito, protecting him from potentially embarrassing situations created by Rachnera. When Rachnera tries to seduce Kimihito in his bedroom, Cerea rescues him and flees with him into the city streets. The male from The Couple and his gang begin harassing Kimihito and Cerea, but Rachnera makes a timely appearance and rescues the two. She then comes to an understanding with Cerea, and Cerea realizes that Rachnera can be trusted. Later, Kimihito comes down with a bad cold and Ms. Smith immediately puts him in quarantine in his bedroom and orders the other girls to keep away from him, fearing a possible pandemic. She states that she will care for Kimihito, but almost immediately conks out. || Rachnera begins integrating herself into the household, and as before Papi and Suu are nonplussed, Miia openly dislikes her, while Centorea tries to hide her similar dislike and mistrust behind a veneer of politeness. One night, Rachnera enters Kimihito`s room as he sleeps, seals the door and traps him in a web, intending to seduce him, but Centorea intervenes, breaking open the door and running away from the house with him. She attracts stares out in the street, and when they get to a dark area a group of anti-monster bigots confronts them. They restrain Kimihito and attempt to molest Centorea, but Rachnera intervenes, and wraps them in her silk, and terrifies them out of their wits. Centorea, though thankful, openly proclaims her dislike for Rachnera, but they try to get along regardless.
Later, Kimihito falls ill with the flu, which Smith regards as a danger to all the monster girls as it could mutate and produce a pandemic affecting all their species. The girls are mostly forbidden to attempt to care for him, but Suu will clearly not be affected. They try to teach her the various ways they intend to nurse him back to health, with mixed results. Suu later cares for him herself in her own way, and after he gets well, she explains in an uncharacteristic long and coherent speech how she is sorry that she caused him to get so sick by making him pick her up when she went outside on a rainy day, and declares that she loves him too.

9. Everyday Life with Threatening Letters
The girls are shocked when it appears that Kimihito is going on a date with Ms. Smith. Miia, Papi, Cerea, Mero and Suu immediately begin following them, first to a maid cafe (where Mero disguises herself as one of the maids, using Suu as a uniform), then to an arcade (where Papi is disguised as a cosplayer), then to an ice cream truck (where Miia and Cerea impersonate servers), but they fail each time. Finally, Miia follows Kimihito and Ms. Smith to a love hotel, where she meets up with Rachnera (who has been trailing them all along). Rachnera tries to sneak into Ms. Smith and Kimihito's room, but is hindered by Miia, who causes them to be grabbed by the MON Squad. Ms. Smith explains that Kimihito had received a threatening letter from someone named "D," and their "date" was actually a ploy to lure the culprit out. || Kimihito seems to be going on a date with Ms. Smith, much to the consternation of all the girls. They follow them around, with Suu providing disguises for each of them, but they wind up in compromising situations as they do this. It turns out that they were on a plan to smoke out the sender of threatening letters that Kimihito has received, saying that if he marries someone he will die.
The date with Ms. Smith failed to smoke out the perpetrator, so they arrange a date with Miia, with Mero tagging along. They go to a public aquarium where Mero is treated like a celebrity, and the attention Kimihito seems to be giving her irritates Miia enough that she eventually walks out on him. A reptilian monster tries to console her and eventually declares that as a fellow reptile he is more appropriate to marry her than Kimihito, saying he is Draco the Dragonewt. Kimihito runs to save Miia before Draco can do more, and reveals that Draco is actually female. MON has been observing them, and they arrest Draco, but she was not the one who was sending the threatening letters.

10. Everyday Life with D
Kimihito's second "date" involves an outdoor barbecue (in a wooded area where industrial nutrient waste was once dumped) with Papi and Suu (with Zombina, who is supposed to be shadowing them, freeloading on the cooking meat!). However, the barbecue is interrupted by a giant tree kaiju that seems to know Papi and grabs both her and Kimihito. Papi recognizes her as Kii, a dryad she had once rescued (but completely forgotten about), but Kii (who has been poisoned by the illegally dumped waste) is on a rampage with a grudge against all humans and stomps Zombina into the ground. Suu (who fell into the industrial waste) grows to Godzilla-size and battles Kii to save Kimihito and Papi; she tells them that the only way to stop Kii may be to extract the waste from her body ... which they are forced to do using a very lewd/embarrassing (but for Kii enjoyable!) method. With Kii calmed and restored to her normal size (and cleared from being the mysterious "D" because she can't write), Ms. Smith offers her a new host family, but she decides to remain in the forest, as long as Papi and Suu can visit her. The third "date" is with Cerea, who is going all out to protect Kimihito (including wearing full armor!). Manako, the MON member shadowing this "date" and already completely flustered by Cerea's intensity, is completely blindsided by Lilith, a devil, who looks like a child but is actually an adult and enjoys pulling pranks on people; Lilith then turns her hypnotic tricks on Cerea, who because of earlier incidents is feeling inadequate as Kimihito's "servant", but the prank is interrupted by a very large and angry wild boar that attacks her. Kimihito manages to distract it and Cerea subdues it, and Kimihito reassures Cerea that he trusts her and has done so from the beginning. Cerea's confidence is restored and she is put in charge of salad-making, but Lilith, who tried her tricks on Rachnera (who had been secretly keeping an eye on Kimihito and Cerea), is caught and severely "pun || Kimihito continues going on dates with the girls in an attempt to smoke out the writer of the threatening letters. He goes out this time with Papi and Suu, and they go for a barbecue picnic in a wild forest near Mt. Fuji. They are attacked by a giant tree monster, a dryad whom Papi had befriended named Kii, grown large due to the illegal dumping of experimental nutrients in the area, the pollution giving her a hatred of humans. Suu also absorbs some of the nutrients and grows just as large as Kii and begins fighting with her. Kimihito manages to get Kii to calm down and shrink back down to normal size after sucking on her breasts. Kii also cannot be the author of the threatening letters as she is completely illiterate.
Next, Kimihito goes on a date with Centorea, who goes out in full battle gear, which Manako, who is to watch over them, points out will probably frighten away the letter writer. Her large size causes her to break things as they go around, and she is depressed because she always seems to just be making trouble for Kimihito. They have a picnic where she gives some flavourless sandwiches that Kimihito is too nice to comment on, but Rachnera points this out and this depresses her even more, so she goes for a walk by herself for a moment. She meets the mischievous succubus Lilith who uses her powers on Centorea, saying that there is something she can do for Kimihito, which removes her inhibitions and she tries to seduce him, letting him fondle her breasts. Meanwhile, Lilith is attacked by a wild boar in the park, breaking the spell before it goes too far, and it later turns on Kimihito but Centorea manages to subdue it. Rachnera has afterwards captured Lilith, believing she might be the letter writer, but after torturing her Rachnera learns that she isn`t responsible.

11. Everyday Life with a Dullahan
Frustrated because of their repeated failure to uncover the mysterious "D", who has sent a second and more threatening letter, the MON members (minus Doppel, who isn't interested) decide to take matters into their own hands and have Kimihito date each and ALL of them in one day! First, Tionishia nearly kills Kimihito by dragging him (literally!) off to different shops, including a dress shop where even the largest size proves too small for her, but Kimihito's revealing that he can expertly alter normal clothing to fit liminals wins her over. Next, Zombina drags Kimihito off to a zombie film; later, when her hand comes off and he uses his sewing skills to reattach it, she is impressed (as well as by his seeing her as a girl and a person rather than a "monster") but in order to tease him deliberately detaches a breast and gets him to sew it back on as well! The last "date" is with a very self-conscious Manako, who becomes flustered by his being able to look her straight in the eye. The "date" is interrupted by Manako spotting a shadowy figure following them, and all three MON girls team up to apprehend the stalker, who is indeed "D" but revealed to be Doppel, who sent the first letter as a joke ... but not the second, as Kimihito finds out when a scythe is pressed against his throat by a mysterious girl with purple skin and dressed in black! Later that evening, the girls are shocked when Kimihito brings home a headless girl, totally freaking Miia out! Kimihito, Cerea, Papi, Mero and a very reluctant Miia search the nearby park where the head rolled into; the head is eventually located and actually talks to Kimihito, admitting that she sent the second letter and asking him to restore her to her body! The conversation is interrupted by the jumpy police officer, who totally freaks out upon seeing Kimihito holding the head! Thanks to some unexpected and unintentional help from Papi, the gang gets away and returns home with the head. Once she and her head are restored to e || Kimihito receives a second threatening letter, more poetic than the first, and the members of MON go on a date with him in a final attempt to smoke out the writer. After a number of embarrassing situations with them they notice someone following, and it turns out to be none other than Doppel, who wrote the first letter in an attempt to make Kimihito`s love progress towards one of the girls, but it instead caused his relationships to all of them to deepen. She did not write the second letter though.
On his way home Kimihito is confronted by a headless woman, whom he brings home, and was apparently the author of the second letter. The girls help him look for her head, except for Rachnera and Suu, who remain behind to watch her body. They eventually find the disembodied head in the park, which makes strange noises as Rachnera and Suu molest her body. She is a dullahan, which supposedly appears when someone is about to die, and later implies that Kimihito is the one who will soon die.

12. Everyday Life with Monster Girls
To prevent the dullahan from collecting Kimihito's soul, the girls decide to take him away from her as far as possible, but their attempts only cause more injures to him as usual, until Rachnera appears with the dullahan, claiming that if she is really a reaper of souls, there is nothing they can do to prevent his death. When Miia decides to die along with Kimihito, claiming that she cannot bear losing him, Kimihito decides to stop running away and face his imminent death as the dullahan predicted, but to everybody's surprise, nothing happens. Back at home, Kimihito and the girls discover from Ms. Smith that her name is Lala, and she is no reaper of souls at all, having ran away from several host families where she previously lived, and lets her live with Kimihito and the others by her request. When questioned about how he saw through Lala's lies, Kimihito answers that he just realized that she has a late case of eighth grade syndrome, and when questioned if he had such thing when he was younger, he denies it, but a quick flashback shows that he did. Some time later, Kimihito realizes that he is at the end of his savings and there is no more food in the house after Miia's attempts to cook ended up in a total disaster. He then sets up for groceries with Cerea, Papi, Mero and Suu, and the monster girls' sympathy with the local vendors earn them some merchandise with a special discount. To obtain some extra vegetables, Kimihito and Suu pay a visit to Kii, who guides them to an area with several plants, and Kimihito learns that Suu has the capacity to diferentiate the edible ones from the poisonous ones by tasting them. On the way back home, Kimihito is attacked by Draco, but Suu defends him with the poison she stored inside her body during the plant tasting. Once returning, Kimihito prepares dinner for the girls, when Ms. Smith and the girls from MON suddenly appear to dine with them as well exausting all of the food's house supply once again, but Ms. Smith explains th || The girls are in a panic after the dullahan`s declaration that Kimihito will soon die, and they try their best to get him away, with Papi flying into an electric sign while carrying him, Centorea dragging him behind as she runs, being nearly drowned by Mero, and inadvertently strangled by Miia. Kimihito, however, is nonplussed, and recognises the dullahan`s ominous declarations for what they are: delusions of someone suffering from "8th-grader syndrome" (chuunibyou), which Ms. Smith later confirms, She reveals the dullahan`s name to be Lala, and she too becomes a guest of Kimihito.
With the addition of yet another monster girl to his household Kimihito finds that he is in dire financial straits, as all the food is gone, and he has little money left. They go to the shopping district to get some food, and the shopkeepers kindly give them less than perfect merchandise that they are unable to sell, but is perfectly edible. Kimihito also goes back to the forest where Kii lives, and they collect wild vegetables, with Suu being able to distinguish the poisonous ones from the safe ones. Thus with a well-stocked larder he is able to get by, until Smith shows up with the MON girls and they manage to eat all the food they so painstakingly gathered. Smith later informs Kimihito that he could have applied for reimbursement for his guests` food expenses, so he went through all that hard work for nothing.
