The class has sided with the scheming Maho and they all decide to give Yukino the "silent treatment." As time goes on and it appears that things won't change, Yukino knows that she'll have to confront her saboteur and put an end to the harassment... but how? || What with the girls in her class despising her, and yet another old friend of Arima`s, Shibahime Tsubasa, giving her the evil eye as well, Yukino is hemmed in on all sides. Summer has arrived and it's a time of separation. Arima is going away for a Kendo tournament while Yukino has made new friends. Even Tsubasa has taken a liking to Yukino, but something's not right... she's grown a little too attached. || All sorts of things have happened in the currently ending school term. Arima tells Yukino that he won`t be able to see her for a while because he`ll be taking part in the upcoming Kendo tournament. Tsubasa has holed up at Yukino's house and refuses to go home. The Miyazawa family heads off to meet grandpa... an ill-tempered old man who's got it in for Yukino's father! || The Miyazawa Family assembles for a trip to Grandfather`s house. There they find an old photograph of Yukino`s mother Miyaka, who looked just like Yukino at the same age. Yukino`s parents grew up together, and fell in love when Miyaka was a high-school freshman, the same age Yukino is now. Hiroyuki lived alone with his grandfather when he was little. Hearing from her friends that Arima has changed a lot over the summer, Yukino bemoans over the fact that she hasn't changed at all and that she can't seem to get her feelings sorted well when it comes to him. || Yukino receives a letter from Arima, away at the Kendo tournament, that makes her think of him all the more. When Rika hears the name she remembers a boy with the same name from 7th grade but figures it`s just a coincidence that they have the exact same name. Aya finally finishes whatever she was writing from the day before saying that it was a screenplay. Tonami had a tough childhood... he was constantly sick, being bullied, but the worst of it was all Tsubaki's fault. Now he's back and he's determined to throw it back in her face! || Tonami is a transfer student who was teased by Tsubaki for being overweight all through grade school and intermediate school. The final episode. As tensions rise over Arima's jealous and over-protective nature, Tonami begins to realize that his desire to get Tsubaki to notice him was one born out of an emotion different from hate. || Tonami shares a brief kiss with Tsubaki.
