Saizou encounters a shrine priestess who is being pursued and finds himself pulled into an unpleasant situation. || Saizou, the wondering Samurai, saved the life of Isanami, the priestess of Izumo. After escorting her to Ueda Castle and witnessing her power, he won’t be able to leave her side again.

Isanami and Saizo continue their journey while the threat of assassins hangs over their heads. Saizo runs into Ana, a childhood friend, while she’s bathing, and they all go to the festival where Isanami has been invited to dance as the shrine maiden. || A rumor of an uwabami has been circling around the land, while the people prepare for the harvest festival. Saizou decides to kill the beast, but according to what he discovers the kingdom is in far more danger…

Saizou was able to prevent Ieyasu from taking Isanami, and Yukimura assigns Isanami and Saizo another team member on their trip to investigate Izumo. || Saizou, Isanami, and Kakei are ambushed by the thief, Kamanosuke. Enjoying the battle, Kamanosuke kidnaps and tortures Isanami, to draw out the cold killer within Saizou.

Isanami and company arrive back at Izumo. They investigate the ruins, and despite Isanami’s best efforts to stay strong, she cracks and Saizou has to comfort her in his own gruff way. They discover a hidden passageway in the shrine, where Hanzo and Snake Lady ambush them. || With Isanami`s help, they discover a staircase to an underground cavern. Once there they are ambushed by Hanzou and Okatsu looking for the Kushimi Jewel. With Saizou injured and Kakei under Okatsu spell, an unexpected wind comes to help.

Saizou struggles to come to terms with the fact that he was not strong enough to protect Isanami, and Kakei reports back to Yukimura on Isanami's abduction by Masamune Date. Sasuke and Ana are sent to bring her back. || Saizou has lost his will to battle after Isanami’s kidnapping, Yukimura sends Sasuke and Anastasia to assist in the rescue. Isanami herself, has lost her resolve, she fears that everybody around her will be hurt. Can they overcome their insecurities or is their time over?

Yukimura invites all of his braves to the hot spring. When there Saizo, Sasuke, and Kamanosuke get in a fight with a monk named Seikai. || Yukimura has invited his warriors to his private hot spring. While there Saizo, Kakei, Kamanosuke, and Sasuke get into a fight with the monk Seikai.
