She emerges from the well to discover she's not in Tokyo any more, but instead, she's in in Feudal Japan.Kagome discovers a weird boy with dog ears pinned to a tree in a forest and is captured by strange villagers. Meanwhile, with Kikyo's ashes, Urasue manages to resurrect Kikyo. However, she finds that Kikyo cannot move without her soul: the very soul that is inside of Kagome!

Kagome soon reclaims her soul and Kikyo runs off to retain at least part of it Inuyasha chases after and thinks back to when Kikyo convinced him to use the Shikon no Tama, to become Human!
