    1. Yes, maybe the button was already pushed by then.

    Tōya Fujii wakes up to a television interview with his romantic interest and idol singer Yuki Morikawa, and laments the time they have to spend together. Later in the day Tōya has a conversation with Yuki, before she departs for work. At work, Rina Ogata finds Yuki has been bullied by an idol group. After Yuki resolves the problem, she calls Tōya on the phone before Rina catches her and expresses interest in seeing him.

    2. Do you believe in long-plotted encounters?

    After his conversation with Yuki on the phone, Tōya initially refuses, but later relents to accompany his childhood friend Haruka Kawashima on a walk. Meanwhile, Rina walks into her brother, Eiji Ogata's room, and finds Yuki in tears after their conversation. The next day, Yuki and Rina arrives at the café Echoes, Tōya's workplace. Rina then asks Tōya for his telephone number prior to her departure, and later calls him at night.

    3. Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, back to back, and then... we don't have to take off our clothes.

    At night, Rina calls Tōya on the phone and offers him a job to help her manager, which he accepts to meet Yuki. Later, Tōya receives a call from Yuki, who invites him on a date on Saturday. Tōya then asks Haruka to apply his university registration on that day and accepts the invitation. The following day, Tōya heads to work and finds he is promoted as Rina's assistant. Rina then admonishes Tōya and Yuki as an attempt to create time for the two. Later, Tōya receives calls and learns that his date is canceled and he is fired as Rina's assistant. He then accepts a job to become a tutor for Mana Mizuki, and arrives at Echoes and learns that it was Eiji Ogata who fired him.

    4. Sometimes you feel like you understand someone beyond imagination. A lot of times it's the opposite though.

    Tōya awakes to a telephone call from Rina, who adjusts the meeting venue and time for his date with Yuki. The next day, Tōya arrives at Hotarugasaki Station, and meets Mana Mizuki, who is on her way to attend school. The two waits for Yuki and after a short while, Mana proposes to Tōya to wait for Yuki at Hotarugasaki Academy, their destination. At the meantime, Rina arrives at Yūnagi Station, where she adjusts the meeting venue to, but leaves after waiting for Tōya. Later, Yuki arrives at Hotarugasaki Station, and decides to look for Tōya elsewhere after awaiting him. At night, the two stumbles upon each other. Yuki then reveals to Tōya that she is granted a single release, and invites him into her apartment.

    5. It's not only those who are close to you that get in your way. The less you know someone, the harsher you are.

    After spending the night at Yuki's apartment, Tōya accepts Yayoi Shinozuka's offer for transportation to home. Yayoi then offers Tōya to a movie and dinner, and attempts to seduces Tōya to break up with Yuki. Later, Misaki requests Tōya to provide an opinion on a manuscript she has written for a play. The next day, Tōya arrives in campus to meet Misaki. The theater club however, forcefully accepts Misaki's manuscript, and assigns her to create the materials needed before the conversation can take place. Later that night, Misaki, not knowing what to do, calls Tōya and requests his help.

    6. A good way to forget your troubles...How about getting involved in somebody else's?

    At night, Yuki finishes the recording session for her single, while Misaki moves into Tōya's father's house in order to prepare for her materials for the play. The following day, Tōya again heads to work as a tutor, and is surprised to find Mana as his student, whom he mistaken as her sister. Afterwards, Tōya and Misaki heads to Echoes to have dinner. Rina later comes in and mistakes Tōya and Misaki in a relationship. Eiji then takes Tōya and Rina to a recording session, while Tōya attempts to explain for the misunderstanding.

    7. A mental image is something that needs constant building up. It crumbles easily.

    Yuki successfully finishes the recording of her debut single, "White Album." Meanwhile, Misaki is staying at Touya`s father`s house, as the two of them work to make the props and clothes. The next day, Touya visits the Mizuki household for his tutor job, where he was previously sent away before even coming inside. There he meets the girl he saw on the day of his date with Yuki, Mana. Mana surprises him by easily clearing all the problems he gives her. On his way back, he finds that Misaki has come to the station to meet him. The two of them stop at Echoes to have dinner, and during their meal, Rina drops by... Source: crunchyroll

    8. The less time you have, the more you can do. The more you do. Of course, love is no exception.

    Touya is stunned by Rina`s overwhelming vocals. Eiji as well is so impressed he says that "he has nothing else to do." But at the same time he listens to the recording of Yuki`s "incomplete" vocals, and runs out of the studio. Rina chases him down and talks to him about herself and Eiji, as well as Yuki`s music. At the same time, a mentally imbalanced Haruka is wandering the streets, and is harassed by two men. She`s saved by Mana, who happens to pass by. Touya is spending his days working with Misaki, the work getting more and more frantic as the deadline approaches... Source: crunchyroll

    9. Memories don't need to be prettied up like a play. The minute you say them aloud, they're all lies.

    The day of the big rehersal for the drama club play, Touya and Misaki finish the props and clothes. However, Tamaru insists that they change the color to "monotone." In desperation, Touya and Misaki turn to Touya`s father for help. The three work all night and manage to get the work done, but Touya oversleeps and misses Yuki`s appearance at the fair. The next day is the day of the play, but the two of them are sent away before they can see it by Tamaru. An infuriated Misaki takes Touya and sneaks into the closed second floor of the Hall, but...     10. Sumo Wrestling by yourself isn't lonely just because you don't have a partner. The eyes of the audience sting, too.

    The injured Misaki spends a night at the hopsital, and finds herself rapidly growing closer with Akira, who stayed with her the whole time. Due to a secret agreement between the head of M&M Music (The company representing the Sakuradan), Itsuki Kanzaki, and Ogata Productions` Eiji, Rina is forced to change the venue she was going to perform her concert in. She angrily agrees to the change, but on one condition: Touya must be hired again as her private staff. As a show of her resolution towards the concert, Yuki entrusts Yayoi with a letter for Touya. Touya visited "Echoes" with Rina, and speaks with Misaki, but is rudely brushed off by Akira. Drawing inspiration from a conversation she had with Touya, Rina comes up with a bold plan for Christmas Eve... Source: crunchyroll

    11. Time won't take care of the feelings building up in your heart. It just labels them "forgotten."

    Eiji reveals his secret agreement for the Christmas concert: a match to see who can bring in more fans. Rina interrogates Yayoi about a letter she discovered in the office trash can, but the answer she gets is... The perfectionist Rina begins a grueling rehearsal schedule for the Christmas Eve concert. Right beside her is Touya, who is there as part of his "job". Mana has gotten close enough to Haruka that the two of them are going biking together. Meanwhile, Touya is troubled over his feelings for Yuki, and reveals them to Yayoi... Source: crunchyroll

    12. “Restriction. Deception. Deprivation. Giving. Waiting is more trying than all of these.”

    Touya reveals his relationship with Yayoi to Rina but she takes him to task, telling him it’s too dangerous. The next day, Rina goes to wait for Touya in the VIP room at the end of his work day at Echoes, but Touya leaves with Yayoi in her car. Yayoi invites Touya into her bedroom and he soon finds himself in over his head. Backstage at Club Calma, Rina reads aloud a letter from Yuki addressed to Touya. Touya, realizing Yuki’s true feelings as well as his own, tearfully rushes out of the room. Touya is determined to make it to Yuki’s concert, but he can’t get ahold of the all-important ticket.     13. Even though the glass was tipped over, didn't you notice? Not even one drop of water remained.

    At long last, the Christmas concert begins, full of emotions and feelings. Touya shows up at the Yunagi Koukaidou for Yuki`s concert. He gazes at her up on stage from the audience. The lyrics of her debut song, "White Album" bring out memories of all the times the two shared. Saying to herself, "It isn`t over yet," finishes her climactic concert at Club Calma. Immediately, without even stopping to rest, she dashes off. But to where...? Backstage, after the concert, Touya gets a rather large gift from Yuki.
