Surrounded by the hate-filled gazes of her people, the selfish princess of the fallen Tearmoon Empire, Mia, takes one last look at the bleeding sun before the guillotine blade falls... Only to wake back up as a twelve-year-old! With time rewound and a second chance at life dropped into her lap, she sets out to right the countless wrongs that plague the ailing Empire. Corrupt governance? Check. Border troubles? Check. Natural calamities and economic strife? Check. My, seems like a lot of work. Hard work and Mia don't mix, so she seeks out the aid of others, starting with her loyal maid, Anne, and the brilliant minister, Ludwig. Together, they strive day and night to restore the Empire. Little by little, their tireless efforts begin to change the course of history, pushing the whole of the continent toward a new future. Seeking desperately to avoid a gruesome fate, Mia begins seeking allies to help her alleviate the problems that tear the empire apart in the future. To do so, she seeks out a dour four-eyed nerd mentioned in the mysterious journal.

Princess Mia has arrived at the prestigious Saint Noel Academy. Still desperate to avoid the guillotine, she decides to avoid individuals that might contribute to that fate. However, her reputation precedes her, piquing the curiosity of her peers.
4. Shall We Dance?
The ball is upon her, and Princess Mia's preparations have gone swimmingly. However, her dress and makeup unexpectedly being ruined completely throws off her plans. One of the nobles falls victim to an imperial kidnapping plot.
5. Princess Mia Swoons
Ever vigilant to find new means of self-preservation, Princess Mia joins the equestrian club. As the academy's sword fighting tournament approaches, Mia finds herself wrapped up in a student tradition. She needs all the help she can get with it.
