Yuuta Hibiki wakes up in the room of Rikka Takarada and notices two things: he has no memories, and he can hear a mysterious voice calling his name from a nearby room. On further inspection, he finds a robot—which introduces itself as Hyper Agent Gridman—behind the screen of an old computer. Much to Yuuta's surprise, Rikka cannot hear Gridman, nor can she see the ominous monsters looming over a thick fog as it envelopes the town outside. Another giant monster materializes in the city and proceeds to wreak havoc. Amidst the confusion, Yuuta is once again drawn to the old computer and merges with Gridman. Suddenly, he appears in the middle of the battle and is forced to fight the monster. Together with Rikka and fellow classmate Shou Utsumi, Yuuta forms the "Gridman Alliance" to defeat the monsters plaguing the city and find whoever is responsible for their emergence. Episodes
1. Awakening
Yuta Hibiki wakes up in the home of his classmate, Rikka Takarada, with amnesia. A voice from an old computer, identifying himself as "Gridman," has a mission for him, but can he even survive the next day of school without his memories?
2. Restoration
Yuta and his friends attempt to unravel the mystery of the city and everyone else's memories. However, more questions arise when a strange samurai arrives and tries to tamper with Gridman.
3. Defeat
A new kaiju appears which poses a problem for Yuta and Gridman. As a result, Rikka and Utsumi are left wondering if their friend will end up long since dead, just like the other students.
4. Suspicion
Rikka and Akane are invited on a group date, but the aftermath is disastrous. Will Yuta be able to convey his feelings for Rikka before it's too late?
5. Provocation
A field trip takes the class away from the city for some summer fun, but when trouble occurs so far from home, there's no easy way to get to Junk.
6. Contact
A few unexpected encounters leave Yuta and the others in shock. Except, Gridman being hunted down means Yuta is ever in danger.
7. Scheme
The others are finding Yuta's story hard to believe. Nobody wants to confront and ask Akane, but in the meantime, Anti has made plans of his own.
8. Confrontation
When the Tsutsujidai High School Festival is threatened, the Gridman Alliance must decide how to proceed. Some of them wonder if fighting is the only choice they have.
9. Dream
Akane tries to win over the Gridman Alliance by lulling them into a dream. Will they remember each other and Gridman's calling or forever have sweet dreams?
10. Collapse
Yuta, Rikka, Utsumi and the NGJHS decide to go to Akane's house to confront her, only to find an alien landscape inside. Calibur confronts Anti and tries to convince him to find a new purpose.
11. Decisive Battle
Disaster strikes on a morning like none other and it's hard to tell friend from foe. Akane seems to have all but given up, but Alexis has other plans in store.
12. Awakening
It all comes down to the line as the Gridman Alliance attempts to save Akane, but do they have what it takes to battle the monster within?
